Nordgården is located in Hornsherred, an area between two fjords, known for its quiet roads, open landscapes and close connection to nature.

The area offers ideal conditions for cycling holidays in Denmark.
Small country roads, dedicated cycle paths and stretches along the fjord make it easy to plan routes that suit both shorter rides and longer day trips.

From the farm, we have put together a selection of suggested routes that take you through the surrounding landscape – past fields, small villages and along the water. Some of these routes follow sections of the Fjord Path, while others lead you onto quieter local roads.

In this way, you can explore the area step by step, always returning to the calm of the farm.

Your cycling holiday – your way

At Nordgården, your stay becomes a natural base for exploring the area by bike.

You can set out directly from the farm, following quiet roads through fields and small villages, or connect to longer cycling routes around Roskilde Fjord and beyond.

Some guests plan full-day tours.
Others take shorter rides, combining cycling with stops along the way – a café, a swim by the fjord, or simply a place to pause.

There is no fixed route.
Only the freedom to shape your own journey.

Bike rental at the farm

To make it easy to explore the area, we offer electric bikes for rent directly at the farm.

You can also rent a trailer for two children or a child seat, making it possible to bring younger children along and experience the landscape together. Many families find that cycling side by side – or sharing the ride – becomes a natural and enjoyable part of the day.

We do not have bicycles for children, but the combination of electric bikes and child-friendly equipment allows most families to find a rhythm that works for them.
