What is a holiday apartment stay at Nordgården?

A holiday apartment stay at Nordgården is a flexible countryside stay where you plan your own days.

You stay in your own apartment and are free to explore the area, relax at the farm, or combine both. There is no fixed programme, and participation in farm activities is not included.

What is the difference between a holiday apartment and a farm stay?

A holiday apartment stay gives you full freedom to organise your time as you wish.

A farm stay includes shared activities, such as daily animal rounds and time spent together on the farm.

If you are looking for a more structured stay with activities, you may want to explore our farm stay option.

Is access to the animals included?

No, access to the animals is not included in this type of stay.

The animals are part of the surroundings, and you will see them around the farm and in the fields.
Access takes place during organised activities as part of the farm stay programme.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes – the surroundings are very well suited for families with children.

Children can play freely in the garden, use the sandbox and trampoline, and explore the open spaces around the farm. The setting is calm and safe, with plenty of room to move and play.

What is included in the apartment?

Each apartment includes:

• Kitchen with basic equipment
• Private bathroom
• Living and dining area
• Bedrooms for families or small groups

The apartments are simple, comfortable and designed for everyday living during your stay.

Are bed linen and cleaning included?

Final cleaning is included in your stay, so you can focus on enjoying your time here.
Bed linen can be added if you prefer, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Can we stay for just a few nights?

Yes, shorter stays are possible depending on the season.

During peak periods such as summer and holidays, there may be specific arrival days and minimum stays.

Can we bring a dog?

In some apartments, it is possible to bring a dog by prior arrangement and for an additional fee.

Please contact us in advance so we can find the best solution for your stay.

Can we rent bikes?

Yes, electric bikes are available for rent at the farm.

We also offer trailers and child seats, making it easy to explore the area as a family.
We do not have bicycles for children.

Is it easy to visit Copenhagen and other cities?

Yes – Nordgården is well located for exploring the region.

• Roskilde is about 30 minutes away
• Copenhagen can be reached in around 1 hour
• Frederikssund (10 km from the farm) offers train connections

This makes it easy to combine countryside peace with day trips.

Do we need a car?

A car is recommended if you want maximum flexibility.

However, it is also possible to arrive by public transport and use train connections from Frederikssund. Bus 318 from Fredrikssund towards Skibby - busstop Skuldelev Kirke  - then It is only a 300m walk to the farm.
